I can't find my start menu. It's gone! Help!

Have you tried hovering with the mouse over that part of the screen or right click in there?

Try this: My computer/Tools/Folder Options/View then tick "show Control Panel in My Computer". Then in C Panel look in "Taskbar and start menu" and enable from there.

Yes, I've tried clicking that area. And there seems to be no option to enable start menus in the "Taskbar and Start Menu" box.
I'm using Windows XP SP3.

The taskbar on the bottom is still there?

What happens if you hit CTRL+ESC?

Also check if your monitor didn't mess up the display size. Change the resolution and see if it's in there or not.

Oh yeah. It's here now. I don't know what happened or what I have done. When I opened my comp, it's there.  
And yeah THANK YOU for the replies!   I just hope this won't happen again.  
I still don't know why it vanishes and reappears again suddenly.
