Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my MOH:A.

I installed the game yesterday and went to play it,

Got into the game and Selected single player.

When i got into the game i could believe my eyes,

Fraps Was Telling me i was only getting 30-50FPS,

When i got into fire fights it dropped to around 30FPS and got all choppy and laggy.

Everything is set on high and my Sys Specs Are:

AMD Phenom(tm) 9500 Quad-Core Processor (2.2GHZ) @ 2.3GHZ
Abit A-S78H Motherboard
OCZ DDR2 PC2-8500 SLI-Ready Edition Dual Channel Memory
XpertVision HD2900XT 512mb GPU
Maxtor 250GB SATA Harddrive
Corsair HX 1000W
HannSpree 17"
Windows XP SP3

What Could be causing my low FPS?

Any Help would be greatly apreciated.

Cheers, Tybalt.

I just went on the "Can You Run It" Website, and the only problem it said i had with Medal Of Honour: Airborne was my Operating System. It says the recommneded OS is Vista. Would this be the course of my choppy laggy game play in single player?

try to use the driver-only version of the catalyst. skip the one with the catalyst control center. ive read somewhere that its causing some issues with the unreal 3 engine (engine used in airborne).

I have the same problem. It's all Unreal 3 engined games in my opinion. Every U3 engined game gets horrible FPS. I get like you get 30-50 fps. I can run COD4 which looks way better with everything maxed out and get 120 fps @ 1680x1050. MOH: Airborne, Bioshock, Turning Point: Fall of Liberty thay all get bad FPS with me. Frontlines: Fuel of War is the only U3 engined game that get descent frame.
I think the U3 engine is just poorly optimized for the PC, especially since consoles are Epics main focus.

Does this mean that if it is the unreal engine i cant play MOH:A?

I Loved MOH:AA and wanted to try and revive it with this.

You can play it, it just won't run as smooth as you would like. Lowering the settings never really solved the fps problem for me either. It ran well enough to muddle through but I didn't enjoy it. i haven't really got into a MOH game since AA. None of them ever really equalled it. COD games seem to be the ones to give me that same feeling. Which would make sense since the ones who made MOH:AA formed Infinity Ward which makes COD.

Most Unreal games like highly clocked Quad-cores. Your low clock speed is killing you.

Essentially, I'm blaming the budget CPU for this one.

Had similar issue
found the culprit was antivirus software (kaspersky security suite)
added MOH as exclusion and very smooth now at 1600x1200 all options up
