i have a newer comapq laptop and i have dial up i dont want dsl/etc. i would like to have wireless. my mom lives like 50-70 ft away she has wireless and dsl
what do i need to buy to get my woreless to work? i have no clue about wireless so as much info as possible would be great.

You need to experiment if you can pickup the WIFI signal at your place. Best to do this is with a WIFI USB adapter - it allows you to move the WIFI adapter around on a USB extension cord for best reception.
