hello, a few days ago people here recommended i buy a Geforce 9800 gx2 stock overclock card, the model number for that would be PNY VCG98GX2XPB-OC and it costs $280 on Newegg. link = http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6814133231 The problem is its out of stock, and not available anywhere else on the internet from what i could tell! :( :( :(

I'm going out of the country soon and cant afford to wait, can someone recommend me a card as good as this one for around the same price?

thanks guys

that card is better? but its not overclocked, how can it be better than one that is overclocked...

and what kind of power supply should i need for this thing, how much wattage?

my other components are a core 2 duo e8500, a antec 300 tower case, a p45 motherboard and 2gb of ram.

Rzzza - haven't we seen you talking about your new build in another forum?

You're only getting 2GB of RAM? Get 2x2GB. The rest of the list looks good.

EVGA is a better company - better support, step up program, etc.

You can overclock you GPU yourself.

in another forum? i think it was this forum, i do need lots of help, and i promise to shut up real soon :)

I'm only getting 2gb of ram because i only have windows xp and i hear it doesnt recognize more than 2gb of ram anyway

ok i will get this EVGA card, even though im worried of how hot some of the people say it gets and how much power it takes up...hmmm, what is the step up program?

I cant overclock anything I'm computer illiterate ;)

You can get the 4Gb and use a 64Bit xp, or just use 32Bit anyways and "loose" a couple MBs. 2x2Gb is just more future-proof.

heh, well in the future i will upgrade my OS and my ram and my motherboard and everything so, im not too bummed out over 2gb of ram. the important thing is the video card and the processor.

hopefully i have enough wattage and airflo, i might have to keep the case open and point a fan in there just to keep it cool :) serious power

No one wants you to shut up. I was just thinking I had helped you before.

XP will recognize up to 4GB - realistically 3GB or so.

2x2GB is a better option in my opinion
