Hey, im getting another 8600 GTS, but I need to know if my PSU can handle it.

I have a,

AMD 64x dual core 6000+

One---8600 GTS 256MB

GA-M57SLI-S4

Antec Earthwatts 500

Is that all you need to know?

PSU is fine but I would not get the second 8600GT if I were you. One 8800GT 512 would kill 8600GT 256 SLI, and would leave you the option of a second card later on.

Exactly. Even get the 9600gt or 9600gso would probably be better than the 8600's sli.

Btw, 9600 gt, newegg had one for 85 and free shipping recently. Think it was pny brand.

If you step up to a higher end card than the 8600 make sure you have good wattage on the 12v rail. Not gonna look it up but antec psus are generally reliable to not gimp your rails.

Yeah, thats the reason I have 2 8600 GTS, instead of the newer 9600 GSO. I would have to get a new PSU. And I didnt want to do that.
