Hi,

I am looking at buying a Phenom II 920 soon and trying to pick the motherboard out. Will the 780g chipset be able to unleash all the power of the Phenom II? Or will I see a CPU performance improvement if I get a 790gx board.

Thanks.

Hi,

I also recently purchased a Phenom II 920. I happen to be partial to ASUS boards, thus they were the first place I looked for a new mobo. I finally selected the M3A78 Pro (see http://www.asus.com/products.aspx? [...] elmenu=1). It looks like this will give you everything you need to make the 920 do its best work, and it was only $99 at Tiger.
