Hi everyone!

I've been watching lately and I've noticed that my display's resolution is commonly left out for benchmarks. I seem to do a fair job of extrapolating the performance that I would see based on my resolution, but I would like everyone's opinion none the less.

I have a Sharp 1920x1080 screen (fantastic display gp1u model if anyone wants to know)
As far as I know, 1600x1200 in 4:3 terms is as close as it gets to match my res, but I don't often see that in benchmarks.

I was wondering if a 4870x2 would be worth the upgrade over a standard 4870 1gb card.

I think I'm right in the middle of the road here on seeing an actual benefit.

What about AA and AF? Would there be a large difference at my resolution if I use 8xaa and 16xaf between the cards?

My specs:

C2D e6400 @ 3.4ghz

4gb Gskill 4-4-4-12 slightly OC'd

Only 1 PCI-E slot on my board So crossfire later isn't an option without replacing my board.

Sweet thanks!

That's exactly what I was hoping for!

Looks like I'm fixing to max out a credit card.
