Microsoft Word maximized

I can open a word document, then minimize it. When I return it to restore or maximize, the document flashes open and then goes completely off the screen, outside of my viewing range. I cannot get to it to move. I cannot drag the maximized application to my other screen because you cannot drag a maximized document. As soon as I hit the resize button, it minimizes completely. I go to restore or maximize and it is again off the screen. Help.

Disable all of the secondary monitors. Open Word. Maximize it on the screen. Try to minimize and restore. Ensure it works properly. Enable the other monitor again. Should let you move the window normally now.
