E8400 Voltage OK???

Forum Overclocking : General Discussion E8400 Voltage OK???

Word :    Username :

Got me Intel E8400 O.C.'d from 3.0GHz to 4.0GHz (Stable using 1.26875V, 32 degrees idle in 22 degree room, 42 under full load) (AIR COOLING)
What would someone recommend the voltage be put to for an attempt of 4.5GHz as I have recently added a hacked BIOS to my P5Q from the guys over at Xtremesystems and have some promising POST's???

1.3625 is the top of Intel's recommended maximum voltage.

Will this be a good build to overclock 2500k to 5.0GHz?

I'm the one that told him that a Silver Arrow will get to 5Ghz, so I'll take the blame...
