Hello,

I recently built a pc with Q 9300. it is oc stable at 3.3 with 1.245 V in cpuz. I have antec 900 case which has 4 case funs. Also, i have third party cpu cooler.

But, the cpu is idle at 34C. Under prime test, it can go up to 60C. I wonder how it would do in summer. We have very hot summer.

I also have q 6600 at 3.3 with 1.45 V. My q6600 is idle at 24C. how come q9300 is hotter than q6600? Is it normal temperature for q9300? i donot understand why it runs hotter. Please let me know what i should do.

Thank you.

What are you using to monitor the temps? I've read RealTemp is the best for quads.

I have a Q8200 (45nm) @ 3.3ghz (1.264v idle / 1.216 load) and it idles at 35c-39c and loads at 49c-56c. I'm using the XigmaTek s1283 with some 2-year old Arctic Silver 5.
