I have 1 ma790x-ds4 mb from gigabyte, Phenom II 920 CPU, 4X CORSAIR TWIN2X4096-8500C7 XMS2 DDR2 PC2-8500 (1066MHZ), ati 3870 vga “gigabyte”, Power from TAGAN TG1300-U33 2-FORCE II SERIES 1300W, bios F6.
The memory channel is 64 bit “single channel” not 128 “dual channel”.
The mb read wrong parameters like cpu temperature.
CPU is not stable, to be stable I must set +0.1 volt.
Ram voltage is 2.1 volt, the bios detect as overvoltage the option +0.3volt above current”1.8volt”.
At the end the mb detect Phenom II as the old Phenom.
If I make the voltage change manually the pc is really fast.

1) Does anybody know ho I can fix the memory channel problem and set the 128bit???
2) Does anybody know ho I can fix the voltage problems???

How many sticks of RAM do you have plugged in, and where? DDR2 IS 1.8V; overvoltage is reported as "+.10" (1.9V), "+.15" (1.95V), and so on...

i set 4 dimm's to 4 dimm'positions.
DDRII dimms support normal voltage 2.1volt. The model is CORSAIR XMS2 DHX DDR2 8GB (4X2GB) PC2-8500 (1066MHZ). The mobo voltage control is: 1.8v is the current voltage for normal, if you want to set or overvoltage the DIMM'S, you must set the overvoltage value like +0.3---> 1.8volt + 0.3volt = 2.1volt for the DIMM'S.
The point is, if i set +0.3 the value is red.

Dont know about the volt...
However... looking at Gigabyte's FAQ they state that the Dual channel mode should be enabled in the advanced Bios setup (ctrl+F1)under "MB Intelligent Tweaker".

This feature existed in v. F5 but seems to be removed in the F6 version.

When i put 2 *2MB in bank 0 system reports 128 bit. But when addning futher 2*2MB in bank 1 (identical memory) the system falls back to 64-bit.....

Waiting for v. F7 ???

Check the CPU support list here:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support [...] uctID=2695
It says you need BIOS F6 for that CPU; likely your memory problems are from incomplete CPU support, as, unlike the Intel CPUs (except for the new i7), I believe the memory contoller is on your CPU die...
DO NOT use @BIOS to load new BIOS, you chance ruining your MOBO; get the BIOS here:
http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support [...] leID=14254
Excellent, thorough instructions on BIOS flashing here:

* Please remember to "Load Optimize Defaults" (in the BIOS Setup) after updating new BIOS

Hey bilbat. I think he mentioned that he already had F6 loaded.

Ack - getting old - mind must be wandering - that's the second time in as many days I've missed something totally obvious - maybe I need to take a couple days off, go slober at schoolgirls or something (nah - come to think of it, I believe nowadays, two-thirds of 'em are actually Feds in disguise...) ;=)

I over voltage all system at +0.1volt. and work fine. That values are on range for all devises like cpu 1.4v max 1.5v. The memory channels are set at 64bit but the memory bandwith is set up from 6500mb/sec to 12550mb/sec (sisoft sandra 2009). The system is stable and realy fast. I waiting for the bios f7. I get this thing for overclock and it want more voltage from the first second. :D
