hmm.. figured id ask this here maybe get a sugestion or two. I have an ollllddd system that i use to play old games on. fallout, diablo that kinda stuf, since its got an old 4:3 monitor. I also play warcraft on it occasionally when theres multiple people over using my comps) It also had a bunch of old anime and other files on it.

Its an old ass AMD thunderbird runnin win 2k. with a geforce 3 gfx card. Think the mb is an old asus a7m266

anyway. i was transfering some stuff to it with a flash stick and it kinda locked up from me removing it and putting it back in a few times so i just did a manual reset, I left the flash stick in and wasn't paying attention and it was trying to do a hadrive scan on it so i just reset it again and now i cant get the thing to start up for some reason. Ya i shoulda just let it finish the scan if i hadn't canceled it fast enough but i didn't

im getting a no sync input message and it just beeps a few times when i turn it on. I thought i somehow fried the gfx card though i dont know how thats possible, i tried taking it out and putting it back in but no luck. Any sugestinos on what to try? this is kinda odd, id like to get it back up.

Build a new computer and put the old hard disk in it to retrieve your data.

In all seriousness though, check the PSU, check for bad caps, remove unnecessary add-in cards. Switch out RAM and graphics if you can. If you can get it to post, run chkdsk, memtest, and a HD test.

It was also sugested i reset the CMOS so i'll try taht too if the others dont work.. other than that i guess maybe it could be the MB if thats the case screw it i guess i will jut back it up and say f it
