have a application that runs a LAN on one port and I get remote access the internet on the other, I am using Intel 965GF boards and a PCI add in NIC, depending on which brand of NIC I use I can have real problems with both ports working properly any suggestions?

BTW also the application uses an assigned IP address and and I leave the internet port to obtain IP address automatically
