$1500 system. Have monitor and peripheals. Only want single card solution. Highest resolution is 1680x1050. I will not change on card and cpu. So tell me if I'm ok or could tweak with anything else. We have 2 hours until I hit the buy button :D Oh should I try to shop at Frys (in store) or just do it all through Newegg? Anybody have newegg promo codes. ><

Thanks :D

Nice machine, almost exact to mine. Dont HAVE to change anything.

Consider 2 or 3 or 4 small HDD's in raid 0 ?

The Antec 900 is a great cooling case... If you dont plan to OC to much and would like something quieter consider Cooler Master Cosmos 1000. If you want a high OC the 900 is perfect for you or even the 1200.

dont go raid0 unless you have raid card. when you overclock you most likely to crash few times and integrated raid will go bonkers and you just lost all data :p BUY IT GOGO I'm so jellous everything looks perfect!! good luck with build m8

Um. i just pwnt myself. Wnet to hit buy and Newegg removed the Visiontek from my cart saying they are out of stock lol. Wanted that one for the lifetime guarantee. Anything comprable?

zipzoomfly.com has a Gigabyte 4870x2 for $539.99 and it comes with GRID for free. If the lifetime warranty is really important, wait for the Visiontek card. Otherwise, it looks like most manufacturers are using the standard card, so they should all really be about the same. The Gigabyte card has a 2 year parts, 3 year labor warranty. It didn't say anything about the free GRID game, but when I added it to my cart GRID was included at $0!

Edit: link to the card on zipzoomfly if you're interested:

hmm I have almost the exact same machine... I have mine OC'd to 3.4 and run raid 0 with Vista64, I run this 24/7...no issues at all. I did however have my OC mastered before I formatted and went with Raid 0.

Also I noticed a huge difference when I switched to Raid 0…. To be honest I was surprised and I am now considering selling my two 500 gig drives and purchasing four 200’s or something like that… 4 small ones anyhow.

I am not a huge fan of software Raid, however it is much faster then non-raid.

Your on Krack... 4870x2 is a sweet card, runs awesome in Vista and XP. You may be referring to a certain Catalyst that was released.
