Recovering toc files

Hello,i am using dvd flick and imgburn to do dvds, i have used it for the last 2yrs but now when it gets to burning it is saying unable to recover toc files, i have uninstalled the disc and reinstalled it but still the same.

When you insert a disc the drive has to recognize it's format - this is done by reading the TOC (table of contents).

Your drive is simply failing to do that - and there is no software would ever have a chance at reading what's on it.

You have a hardware / media issue here. A firmware update might fix the issue (by making better burns on the discs), but if there's none available, you're stuck.

I think it must be the discs i bought, a bad batch i think as i have used the same before. I tried a re-write disc in and that worked then tried one of my others and it wouldnt so will buy some new discs, thanks for replying
