My computer screen has moved down the monitor

Starting last week my monitor screen shakes and will only show half a screen. If I bang on it, it will sometimes move upward but it will not stay. My computer is old (about 7 years) and is a Compaq 7550. I have ordered a laptop but I really love my desktop. What can I do?i

Yes, the monitor I listed will work just fine with your system. You will need to change the resolution to 1440x900 after you hook it up. You will probably also want to update your video drivers, and the monitor may come with a driver CD to ensure the computer can see it properly and set the correct resolution.

You can find used monitors in the same class for half the cost or less also, as people upgrade they put their old ones on sites like craigslist. Up to you how you feel about that, no warranty and at times you can get a lemon.
