Hi all !

Its been a while since I posted my first idea of a build here, and now I´m getting close to finnally buying it. That´s why I would like to ask what you guys think about it, since I dont expec to make any important changes now (but still feel free to make any comments of course! ). The pc will be used for different kinds of apps (no video editing or similar though) including gaming.

Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 G0 2.4Ghz FSB 1066 8MB Box
Asus P5Q-E Socket 775
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 PRO Socket 775
A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition PC2-6400 2x2GB 4-4-4-12
Western Digital WD6400AAKS 640 GB SATA300
Antec Nine Hundred
Corsair TX 650W
Sapphire HD 4870 512MB GDDR5 PCI-E
Samsung SH-D163B (DVD Reader)
Samsung SH-S223Q (DVD Writer)

This should be right at the 1000€ barrier... I was also thinking now of adding this http://www.arctic-cooling.com/vga2.php?idx=166 (25€) to the graphics card... since it seems to heat quite much.

Thank you in advance... and once again: any comments are welcome.

that is a good setup I wish I had it besides the Q6600 I would get a E8400 or Q9400 or sumtin

q9400 would add almost a 100€... E8400 costs more or less the same as the 6600, but I rather go for the quad (I want the build to last.. i see more potential in the 4 cores, even if I need to OC later, but I think this build is ready for OCing).

Thanks for the comment :)

Sounds like you have it all worked out.

You should NOT add the after market GPU cooler. You will void the warranty and it will dump hot air into the case. Your Case will be enough extra cooling.

Thanks Proximon.

Just read about that GPU cooler today... so I can drop that idea as easily as I got it :P About the rest... yes, I´ve been working on it for a while !
