Window Files are Blank

Hello,
When I open my files in windows xp, my files are blank, I get the name of the file but nothing else... example I tried to open the help and support file and all I got was the window saying help and support but no ino

Exactly what files are you trying to open? Word Documents? System Files? Help Files? What programs open to try to use the files? Is the issue that the wrong program tries to open the file? Please post some details as to the exact files and type of files you are trying to open and what program opens when you do try.
