Im using windows xp and unable to connect to Brother HL-1440 printer

I recently updated my Explorer browser. The first time I tried to print after doing this, the light on my printer would not come on when I turned on the power button. Could updating the browser have anything to do with this problem? I appear to be getting power to my desk lamp and obviously to my computer. Thanks.

  1. There is nothing you do on any PC that could physically harm your printer. Meaning specifically, updating your Internet Explorer will not cause your printer to stop powering on. However, the title of your post suggest that there is a connection issue, not a power issue.
  2. Lol buy a wireless HP. http://goo.gl/0dwRF
