VIDEO CARD: (I already have a X800 GTO)

So, my questions are this:

1. What am I forgetting?

2. Are all these parts compatible?

Exactly. Besides, keeping the old X800 would leave you with no DX10 (which is acceptable) and no shader 3.0 support (which is a major setback for gaming).

Ah, good point.

Other than that though, things look solid? I can always just upgrade my Video Card later.

As a photographer, I am sure the standard on board graphics card can handle the photos I need to do. But with my current machine, which has the X800 GTO for gaming, I dont really "game" much at all anymore... I just use it for work!

EDIT:

I guess I just need to make sure that the HD and RAM work with the MOBO. I am pretty sure the RAM does, but I am confused on HD's and what they are compatible with.

Can someone explain?

I think I am going to buckle down and purchase Vista. I mean, it can use all the RAM, and that will mean for a smoother system overall.
