How do the resolutions compare on the same video card (FPS)? Is there much of a difference in quality that you can see?

I have been looking at this 1440x900 19" monitor for $180 and it seems like a good deal with high contrast (10000:1) and 2ms response time. I also think having a few less pixels on a 19" screen with help me with my, less than average performing, eyesight?

How much impact does mild AA have? How much difference will it make?

@1680 with 4870 you will not notice much change in FPS even with AA

depends on the games that you will play, too. and the type of directX you want to run.

a friend of mine whos playing fallout 3 with a 4870 was having some problems running it on max AF/AA/res connected to a sony bravia.

my 2cents.

Is 1440x900 good with AA turned on? LG and Samsung have 19" monitors with good specs at that res.

1080p tv's run at 1920*1080 and the OP only wants to play at 1440 or 1680....
