Get the 1GB version. You should be able to set it at those overclocked speeds rather easily and the extra 1GB will be of benefit in future games. One of the games out now that benefits big time from the extra RAM is GRID.

1GB doesn't give any performance boost, as a matter of fact, some games have a slight peformance decrease <- might wan to check the review/comparison online.
If you're willing to spend that much, go for the 4870.

It's Way bettet the 1 Gb version but if you can afford just buy the oc version ....... if you pick the 1gb you going to have a good fps rate

Yeah the 1gig is only a few bucks more so I guess I will go with that one...

Yea, it gives no performance boost if you're playing on a 19" monitor in 1024x768.... If you're playing in 1680x1050 or higher, you'll benefit from the 1GB. You can always OC the 1GB. If you can't afford the 4870 1GB, go with the 4850 1GB.

When the 1gb is overclock till the 512mb oc version the frame will be about the same overall but the 1gb promise to have smooth frames over all so less to no micro shuttering due to the framebuffer of 512 fills up rather quickly in some games like Grid with all the eye candy high and a decent resolution. Don't you know overclocked cards are just a marketing scheme you can easy get thoses frequencies but also lose your warranty in the process.
