Good deal? Almost purchased a EVGA 260GTX, but...

Greetings folks!

I've been itching to upgrade my video card for some time now and I had finally decided on a EVGA 260GTX Core 216. I was about to purchase the 260 when I stumbled upon a deal for a *brand new* EVGA 280GTX SSC for $365.00 shipped! I thought about it for a bit and reasoned that this was a very good price for a pretty powerful card. Did I make the right choice? I figured for about $65.00 extra I was getting a pretty decent bargain. I've seen the 280 retail for about $459.00 to $500.00!

well ya thats a good price for the gtx 280 just depends on if you think the performance gains are worth it. heres a review for the 260 core 216, against the 280 and the 4870. http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=3408&p=1

I'm coming from an 8800GTS KO, so I'm hoping the gains will be pretty good. I guess I'm also banking on a bit more longevity with the 280GTX.

And great article thanks! It actually makes me feel a bit better about my purchase. I'd feel like crud if I spent $100.00 or so more.
