I was ready to pull trigger on 4850 and found this:

9800 GT for $105 after MIR but includes FC2.

My system is a Q6600 with 500W Rosewill PSU. I game at 1280x1024 so will the 9800 gt be enough? That's basically $55 for the card vs. $140-$150 for a 4850.

I may go to a 22 inch monitor but not for some time.

Opinions?

4850 performs around 15% better, for a higher price.

Although 9800gt/8800gt will definitely be enough at that resolution. Far Cry 2's graphics is not in the same league as Crysis, and load is also a lot lighter.

i agree with dagger.
4850 would get the job done for this game and if you get the 22in it would handle it even better.
