Ausus "P5Q"s able to us AHCI with WinXP??

I have spent two days trying to Switch from IDE harddrive mode to AHCI in the Bios
I have even tried a reinstall using F6 to install extra Raid/AHCI drivers and Slipstream to install WinXP with AHCI on in Bios

F6 I get fails to copy drivers before install if I skip copy I get BSOD
Slipstream drivers on to install disc I start install of WinXP and at 2nd re-boot during install I get sys restarting loop with a short look at XP boot screen and restart..

Any one have AHCI on with XP installed????

Yes.

I have the P5QL and Im running in AHCI Mode.

I used the newest Intel Matrix Raid Drivers. I put them on a floppy and after hitting F6 I choose ICH10R from the List. The drivers loaded just fine and windows is screaming.

However: I am running Windows 2003 Server Enterprise R2 SP2 32 BIT, and yes all XP 32bits drivers are compatible with 2003 Server, and all vista drivers are compatible with 2008 Server.

You really have to Cross every T and set your rig up perfect for this to work, It may take you a few tries but dont give up. So if I can make it work in 2003 Server using XP drivers, I dont see why it wouldnt work in XP.
