Hey guys im looking in the range $100-$200 for a mobo to sit a pretty little e8500 on to. Im a gamer want to keep the crossfire option open and don't need ddr3 since with a 775 socket kinda pointless. Gonna be playing with a 1080p res and need something quality that will allow great gaming performance without breaking the bank. Leaning towards asus' p5q-e but honestly its a wide open race maybe some suggestions and reason why you think that way. Or personal experiences would be awesome.

With any kind of gaming chip like that you want a P45 mobo.

Best brands for that right now is ASUS and Gigabyte.

ASUS P5Q Pro LGA 775 Intel P45 $129.99(mail-in rebate $15.00)
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3P LGA 775 Intel P45 $134.99(maill-in rebate $20.00)

ASUS has been known to oc more easier than the Gigabyte and the Gigabyte is known to have more stability.

I went with the Biostar TPower P45, 2nd board already due to it dieing when i oc'd it. It's not a bad mobo, just got to treat it like a baby.
