The clock on my processor is apparently 2.0ghz when it should be 3.16ghz, im thinking could be a motherboard problem never know though.
E8500 and an abit I-g31 mobo.
Says the bus speed is 333.4 mhz and the mulitplier is x6 in cpu-z.

oh another thing is, an older version of cpu-z is telling me that the clock is what its meant to be, but the bios, a newer version, and core temp are all saying thatthe clock is 2.0ghz.

Yeah, the newer processors will drop their multiplier (lowering clock speeds when not under load) to save energy if your mobo supports it. You can turn it off...especially for overclocking.
