DX9 rendering error with HD4850

I’ve run into a persistent DX9 rendering error with my HD4850’s, to me it appears as if certain textures are being rendered to large, as you can see in the Witcher screen shot, the grass and puddle polygons on the ground are being rendered way to large, and I assume it’s something similar with leaves on the trees in Spore. This happens with a good number of my dx9 games, Far Cry 2 has millions of these polygons so you can’t see anything, and Dead Space is the same, even the menu in Dead space is virtually unusable. My system specs are two 4850’s in CF, E8400, Maximus Formula mobo (X38 NB, and IHC8R SB) and an Asus Xonar DX soundcard. The cards are not over clocked and are water cooled, temps never go over 50 C on load. And last but not least running Vista 64 SP1 with all the latest updates.

Has anybody else seen these kind of errors and know how to fix them?

Seems I’m not allowed to edit my own posts, corrections are Maximus Formula mobo (X38 NB, and IHC9R SB)

I’ve water cooled all the components of the cards (chips, ram and VRM’s) so it’s not temp, nothing’s over clocked and DX10 runs fine so it’s not a system instability thing. I also ran the system with CF off and only 1 card in at a time, and the error was still there on both cards. This error is a consistent incorrect sizing of certain types of polygons in DX9 so my guess was a DX9 library was corrupted, so I installed the latest DX9 SDK and set it to the retail version, unfortunately this still did nothing. I eventually formatted and reinstalled everything from scratch and the problem’s gone, since it’s the same hardware and drivers I’m sticking with a corrupt DX9 library affecting scaling of certain textures, but the important thing is this problem is gone
