Here are my specs:
q9550
asus 4870
gigabyte x48-ds4
samsung 226bw
windows xp pro sp3

So, occasionally when I reboot I get a blank screen right after Windows XP and the copyright on the bottom, it won't load past that, it will just go blank my screen. I installed the driver off asus' website at first. Then I installed the catalyst driver, had the same problem. So on one of my blank screens, I rebooted into safe mode, uninstalled catalyst, then rebooted and works fine without any drivers installed. My bios is from 03/21/2008. I've been reading on forums I might need to update my bios? Anyone know how to fix this problem?
