at about 1900 so far but,,,, need a monitor and really lost here. I want 24 inch but need to stay around 400 to max 500 hundred

I realize the smart thing maybe to wait a year for new CPU's, then it turns into 2 years for availability and prices to come down.
I am off cycle on my purchases, even my HD TV was the last year that rear projections where big. The next year was flat screens and HDMi.
so i will have to live with that as I need a new system now,

Thanks for your help In advance

I strongly suggest you upgrade the ram to 1066mhz or faster if you overclock the Yorkie. You'll need higher FSBs.

The rest are great. Look into Samsung 24" LCDs. Or post your selection for us to narrow it down to 1/2.

i agree with auscanzukus on the ram. and you should get a 4870 for a graphics card. i have heard that sometimes the 4850's dont crossfire well.

I'd probably go with this:
q9400 - Save $50 and still will be able to OC to 3.2 ghz and above with 800mHz DDR2 RAM. If you want to go much higher than consider 1066mHz, but 800mHz will do for 99% of OC's!!

x38/x48 mobo's - consider these too. You can save $50-100 on one of these. Most will have similiar features and will only cost less :)
Comparison of several x38/x48 mobo's that are cheaper, but don't skimp on features.

2x 4850's - Save $200 over the 4870x2 if you think that this will be fine. Since your going to be at a 24" LCD, your resolution will work out just fine for 2x4850's!!! It's up to you here.

Corsair 750tx - Good selection here!!! Just buy it from Buy.com for $20 less than the Newegg price!! $84 after the $20 MIR!!
Corsair TX CMPSU-750TX ATX12V & EPS12V Power Supply

CM 690 Case - I'd consider this case over your selection, if you don't want to spend $185 for the one you selected. The CM 690 case is going for $78 shipped!! It has plenty of room and doesn't skimp out at all for the $!!!
Cooler Master 690 without Power Supply - RC-690-KKN1-GP

CPU HSF - Couldn't have picked a better selection for the price with the Xigmatek S1283!!

HD's - Look good there! You can get bigger drives, but that will depend on what you want to do.

Saw a few comments that i liked. I still looking at the samsungs also. I hear they changed the revisions alot on these monitors, And the specs change when they have someone else produce the monitor for them.

Think I will stay with the 4870 x 2.

I am Now thinking of this case
Antec Twelve Hundred Black Steel ATX Full Tower Computer Case - Retail

Going to purchase probably in the next couple of days. Still feel a little lost on the monitor I guess because the all spec out so close to each other.
