Problems with new TV Tuner card.

I just installed a Pinnacle PCTV HD Card, this one to be exact.

But I get no audio. And the picture looks like crap. I thought I was getting one that recorded in HD but apparently not. Unless I am doing something wrong.

Also, when try and use Media Center instead of the software that came with it, and I go to set up TV, it says IR Hardware Not Detected. What does that mean?

Ugh, this is all so frustrating. Can someone please help me??

I had some similar problems with the Pinnacle PCI card. Win XP(sp3) kept losing it(non-detected in the Pinnacle software.) After spending 45 minutes on their "Instant Help Chat", they basically told me to re-seat the card, which I had already done twice.

I switched to a Hauppaugge USB tuner and have not had any problwms at all. The software isn't as slick, but it does what it's supposed to - display HD and digital over-the-air stations, and record shows with a scheduler.

I know that's no help. I'm just sharing my experience.
