Hi,
I am selling a mobo on eBay: Intel D915GEV: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? [...] :AAQ:US:11
Intel lists these processors as being compatible with the D915GEV:www.intel.com/support/motherbo [...] 026957.htm

I have a buyer asking if the mobo will support the Intel Dual-Core LGA755 2.5GHZ processor. Does anyone know? I thought maybe Intel's compatibility chart may be out of date.

Thanks.

It won't support CPUs not on Intel's list. Intel usually are pretty good at keeping their CPU list current.

I know of no 915/925 chipsets that work with the C2D based CPUs. (Dual core at 2.5, I'm assuming he wants to run the 5200.) C2Ds work on many 975s, all 965s, and some 945s. Oddly enough, I don't think they ever adapted any 955s.
