Corrupted memory stick

Hello,
before formatting my laptop, I saved all my files in a memory stick. But now when i try to open it, it says format do u want to format it now..and when I check the properties it shows nothing..how do i et back my files? I think the memory stick is corrupted

try with some other pc or from any of live OS, like live xp with hirens boot cd
