I am thinking about what I should buy XFX Geforce 9800GT 512MB Standard Edition or XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB Standard Edition. The XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB Standard Edition has some more GPU Clock,Shader Clock and Texture Fill Rate than XFX Geforce 9800GT 512MB Standard Edition. My question is if I buy XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB Standard Edition and in the future if any game recommends minimum Geforce 9800GT graphics card will XFX Geforce 8800GT 512MB Standard Edition be able to run it?I am not sure about this because the chipsets are both different but XFX Geforce 8800GT has some more GPU Clock,Shader Clock and Texture Fill Rate. Can someone tell me?

i would go with 9800gt since its 55nm, correct me im not sure

but the point is it will overclock better/ run cooler/ take less power since the transistors are smaller than in 8800

both cards are practically the same thing...just that the 9800gt is able to run in tri-sli
