I7 920 problem help

Ok so any way i was overclocking my I7 920 from 2.8 to 3.6 i have Corsair h50 cpu cooler with x58 Asrock supercomputer board any way i hit 3.6 with the OC tweaker i get with my Mother board so i just hit oc from the MB it self and restart than ran a benchmark all good but problem is it shutdowned durning benchmark apperently to high temp i would think but after that i can't get it to start again and i am not sure how to reset if the heat protection did turn on any ideas and do you think i burned it out ?

There are so many things wrong with what you said I don't know where to start.

OK, first clear your CMOS and then: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/253365-29-core-overclocking-guide

get an idea of what you are doing.

Second, when you try again (not with OC tweaker this time), make sure to stress test and monitor your temps.
