Antec p182 - lower hard drive cage vibrating the whole case.

Hi. I have 3 hard drives (2x250gb raid 0 and a single 500gb) in the lower cage of the case.

For a while now the whole case gives off a steady humming vibration noise. I mean its like a heart beat, goes away then you hear, its non stop like this.

I believe it is the 500gb WD because when i DC that there was no rythm to it. Some of the rubber fittings were hard so I got more from Antec but it still didnt help. Any tips as to what to do?

Perhaps the hard drive is getting worn down or something? It didnt do this when it was new (its about 6 months old now). thanks

I'm hearing the humming on the P182, also, but it appears to be coming from the top fan when it's in the horizontal position. If you turn the case on its side (making both fans vertical), the humming stops. You can also make the humming stop by gently slowing down or stopping the top fan.

There is a 120 mm fan in the lower chamber at the bottom front of the case. It's possible the fan may be causing the hard drive cage and/or hard drive to hum.
