Hi I was wondering is it possible to make the DDR2 RAM G.Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK 1066 CL5 to put it down (downclock.?) to 800 Cl4?


And if anyone got this same RAM any one tryed it?

By default it will run at 800Mhz. To run it at 1066Mhz, you have to set it manually.

Yes i know, its currently running at 800 CL5 but because it can run at 1066 CL5 can I set the timmings to CL4 when its 800MHz by default.

Use CPU-Z to display the SPD tables. That will tell you what timings are officially supported at 800Mhz and the voltage that's required.
