Hello
Last December (2009) I built my very first system. I'm pretty sure my build is overclockable due to other similar builds I've seen in the past. I just don't know how and I can't find myself a good guide to get me started. If anyone out there can help me please provide me with some info, links, or whatever to help me get started.

My build is:
GIGABYTE GA-MA790GPT-UD3H
AMD Phenom II X4 955
GSkill 2GB x2 DDR3 1600 (4GB total)
WD Black 640GB x2
Corsair 650W PS
Xigmatek Dark Knight CPU Cooler
XFX 5770 GPU
Antec 300 Case

Everything is at stock speeds as of right now. Thank you guys in advance.

I don't have a AMD but what I have seen Overdrive in picture/reviews and youtube videos, it looks like a slick piece of software. A NOOB should definitely install it and if not change anything take note of all the parameters. Thats what your going to change to get more performance, and usually more settings within the bios. Take note of what settings when increased effect other things like mainly your memory speed. And how to keep that within specs or o/c that as well. But doing both at the same time can leave you wondering where the instability is. If that all looks greek , keep reading.
