I have am ATI 4870 HD sapphire vid card and for some reason whenever i play games it freezes with boxes on the screen. i hav all the drivers and directx

I AM SO PISSED!!!!!

Well first of all you need to put your 4870 in a computer for it to work.

A 4870 by itself wont do you much good.

If you do have a omouter maybe you should list your specs if you want some help!!!!!!!!!!!

i was just wondering if the 4870 HD is know to hav problems or not work...
i have a new computer and stuff so it cant be that.

Is the fan coming on? Does your comp boot up fine? Do these "boxes" start appearing as soon as bootup is done or when you open a game? We need to know some specifics in order to offer help... System specs wouldn't hurt... What size and brand PSU do you have?

Did the card come with your comp or did you buy it and add it in? These are the kinds of things we need to know. These cards work very well from what I've heard but it's always possible that you got a dud, but we can't determine that until we know all the details....

jordan853 this is best advice some one can give without spec of pc.it makes it hard to help.you want be sorry.

my comp was custom built, the boxes only happen wen i play a 3D game like CSS, spore, WoW, GW. in some games it happens within 5 secs of starting and others i hav to play for about 10-60 mins
