Help to overclock my QX9650 please

Hello, I just got a QX9650 extreme cpu I use the Asus P5E3 premium board if someone uses this set up can you please help me by giving my the bios settings so I can get around 3.5ghz out of it please. I would really appreciate the help. Thank you.

I forgot I am using G.Skill DDR3 1600 memory and have an asus cpu air fan

FSB=400MHz
CPU= 1.3v
RAM= set latencies to those marked on the side of the sticks, 1.9v (also on the sides of the sticks, 400/1600 strap(or divider)
Save and Exit BIOS

The QX9650 has an unlocked multiplier. Its default multi is 9 X 333.33 = 2.999 or 3.0GHZ rounded off. So with everything set to auto you will run at 3.0GHZ.

I do not have your M/BD but you should be able to get a 9.5 - 10 multi on auto. That would = 3166MHZ and 3333.3MHZ before you would probably need to raise your Vc.

You would also need to monitor your CPU temps at this point as 64.5 is about as high as this CPU is rated for. You would need to raise that multiplier to 10.5 to achieve a 3.5GHZ OC.

Ok got the temp software highest is 49C one one core and the lowest is 31C on one; core all close. I am running at 3.51 the highest was 46C at 3.34 but these extreme quad core cpu's are real easy to overclock! I never overclocked much before but never got results like I am getting with this cpu. I have only tried about 4times in the bios with this and have it at 3.51 mhz I beat with some water cooling people are getting much better results. Thanks for all the help here9
