How far can I go? (bottleneck)

Using an old c2d e6600 (old beast) 2.4@3.2 with 4gb mushkin and 8800gt on a p5b.

Feel like spending some cash so I wanted to know how far I can go without having the cpu bottleneck the gfxcard.

9800 gt/gtx
gtx 260
gtx 280
hd 4850
hd 4870
hd 4870 x2
8800 ultra (lol)

Using a 22 inch screen and consider going 24 maybe.

It *might* bottleneck the gtx280 and it will bottleneck the 4870x2. Those are the only 2 I think.

You should get at least HD 4870 for 22"+ if you want to max games out.

None of those graphics cards are going to be bottlenecked by that cpu. Claiming that gtx280 is bottlenecked by the cpu means that any faster gfx card will have little or no impact on your performance. That is simply not true (except for very high framerates).
Sure you would get better performance with better cpu, but that's not the same thing.
