I have recently bought a new motherboard for building a system and wanted some advise on a CPU to get. The board I got is a Gigabyte UD3P

And I would like to get a ATI 4850 or about the same in Nvidia, does anyone have a recommendation for a CPU to use that would run decent with something like that? Im fine with overclocking it but not sure, so I would like some input please.

I would like to keep budget around $100 +- $20-30

Thank you

grab an e7300 and call it done. good overclocking cpu and will preform decent if you decide not to overclock.

I would personally get a Quad-Core. But as for that.
if you are on a buget I would get the Celron E1200 DC it's clocked at 1.8GHz but can overclock to 3GHz. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 6819116064

You may want to save your money though and go with eith the Q6600 or the Q9550 which is due to come down in price after the Phenom II launch.

I have to agree, for the money e7300.

e7300 is the only choice for any one with more than two brain cells .

A powerful chip in its own right , its also a very simple OC to 3.3 GHz [ or more ] and at that its faster than an e8400
