HELP!

I just received my new machine from newegg:

GA-EP45T-UD3P
E8500
CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX 550W

I believe I've connected everything correctly, but when i hit the power button, all 5 of the leds on the board turn on, but the cpu fan doesn't turn on. If I turn off the power, the cpu fan turns for a half second. I've tried it with no ram, and no video card. Is there some silly thing I'm missing, or do I have a faulty part?

Thanks!

Try clearing your CMOS and see what that does.
My GA-EP45-UD3R went crazy when I first started it up. Lights, beeping the works. Cleared the CMOS and started it with one stick of ram and it started ok from there.

i am having the exact same problem. i just got it today and set it all up only to find that major problem. any other suggestions? ive reset the cmos and everything

Try it outside of the case to eliminate shorts to the mounting posts as a possible cause of your problem. Install the CPU only and connect a speaker to the Speaker header. It should beep to indicate that memory is missing.
