I7 860 showing only 2 cores

I have
i7 860
4GB DDR3 RAM
It shows only 2 cores in system properties

  1. Go into the BIOS and ENABLE ALL CORES and that should do the trick.
  2. Try running MSCONFIG and manually configuring how many CPU cores windows sees.
  3. I totally forgot about that.

    Some of us. Myself included. Have gone into the BIOS and went click happy. Trying out different settings. And forgetting what all was selected and where it was.
  4. If you try the above and all check out o.k., you may try flashing the BIOS as a last resort. All else fails, RMA the CPU.

    Bios set to all
    msconfig still shows just 2 processors
    DELL say that is is only a 2 core processor Intel site shows it as quad core 8 threads .
    Any ideas
