I have been building a new system in my head for a while and here's what I've come up with, if you see anything that shouldn't work properly or something that could be better for the same amount of money or less I'd love to hear from you.

looks pretty darn good to me. I would say that the only suggestions you get will be preference related not necessarily improved quality/performance.

The only thing I would recommend is investing another $75 on a back up HDD.

If you are running a monitor under 24" that GPU will be overkill. If you have the money to spare get it, if not then you would be better served with a 4870 512mb or 1gb version.

Ausmus you should wait for Nehalem... I bought my system sept 9 and I am trying to sell it for what I built it so I can get a Nehalem. I was just too impatient to wait, but now Nehalem is real close.

wow, quick game of tf2 to come back and see all the posts. I plan on running dual 24" samsung t260's nd i have to place the order by the end of the month to get financing with newegg's preferred members plan. I'm a full time student at the moment in college and sadly cannot wait for the i7's or deneb to come out. I'll switch out the thermal pastes too.
