Vista Home Premium -32bit
Intel Quad 2.4
Original RAM -2gb
Nvidia nForce motherboard
Nvidia 8500GT

Ok this is weird or maybe im just missing something here. I purchised 2x1gb DDR2 sticks lastnite and installed both.
PC is only showing just under 3gb
I am aware of vista32 not using anything over 4gb or something to that nature but this is where it gets weird...

I pulled out 1 stick and now im only registering 2gb installed
OK so maybe 1 of the sticks is faulty so i switched them out to make sure
Still showing 2gb
OK so I switch bays around with all my RAM and still showing 2gb

So apparently when I have all 4 sticks installed im getting just under 3gb but with only 3gb installed im only showing 2gb.

Also with all 4 installed i checked to make sure the BIOS is registering all the RAM i have installed and it is also showing only 3gb with all 4 sticks installed, same thing if i pull out 1 its only showing 2gb

Any idea what the deal is? :non:
