Hi there :)
I done research and ended up with the list below, it would be nice to hear some opinions and suggestions.

the build is mainly for gaming, and general use.

at first I wanted to get a x48 board for the option of adding another 4870 in the future but decided to lower costs a bit and went on a p45 build, once I feel the need for some more FPS, I'll pass my 4870 to my brother and get a newer card.

I'll will do some OC but nothing extreme.

I'll list the final price I'll be getting the components, after price matching.
1US$ is about 1CAN$

Don't know how long the gpu is going to be kept. If you upgrade gpu come 01/09, you might wanna get a HD 4850 for now. Then it'll be a hand-me-down come the RV870 - next gen gpu from AMD.

If you overclock the cpu, you can pick up a lesser one and o/c it to the speed of a faster chip. IMO, none of the Yorkies is worth the money. Q6600 @ 3Ghz = best bang.

I would upgrade the motherboard to something that would allow crossfire in the future:

GIGABYTE GA-EP45-DS3R LGA 775 Intel P45 ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128344 $126.99 -$20.00 MIR

Do you need Vista Ultimate? You could save $110 by going with Home Premium.

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit English for System Builders 1pk DSP OEI DVD - OEM
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16832116488 $99.99

Nice build by the way! :)

@slntdth93
thanks for the tip :) the Thermalright bolt-thru kit is really nice.
I chose this ram cause of the CL4 and the low volts, It would be nice to have alternatives, so feel free to post some links.

@auscanzukus
the Q6600/4850 is something I was/am thinking as an alternative, but I tend to think that the Q9550/4780 is a better choice because they newer, cooler, clocked higher, will last longer(before I'll need to upgrade again) and the price is reasonable.

@shortstuff_mt
the GA-EP45-DS3R is something I'll think about, the crossfire and the raid features are nice but I doubt I'll ever use them, once I'll feel the GPU is not enough I'll pass it to my brother and grab a newer or a x2 version.

I'll be using the computer for gaming and working and need the extra features the ultimate offers.

thanks for your thoughts :)
