I've heard that Petra's Tech Shop and Aquatuning are the only people who carry legit (made by Yate Loon) Yate Loon fans.

Does anyone know of anyone else that does?

I'm looking for a Yate Loon D12SH-12.

Was issues early last year. Was the HS ones.

I buy them from Petras, they ALWAYS are no question the right ones. Might be $1 more, but I know Petra in RL from meeting him at PC shows and CES/XS. He deserves our business. He'll always and does take the high road.

He's a science guy, not a marketing in the backroom kinda guy.

Well my problem is that Petra's doesn't have them in stock and haven't for a month or 2 :\

Have you undervolted them/put them on a fan controller? That's very important for my use :o

My PSU actually uses the same model so that's why I'm looking for it. The one on my PSU is dying and needs to be replaced and the Yate on there was real quiet.

The yates i buy are always the real loud ones b/c i dont mind the noise and there cheaper.

Funny that you ask if ive changed the voltages on them b/c ive actually wired a couple up to batteries and ran the fan from 4.5v.

Ive also used a legit fan controller and it works fine.

Petras is moving, changes in the organization, his wife is moving to JPL so they needed new space. Just go Jabtech, you should be fine, many say the fakes are gone.

I moved to Gentle Typhoons myself for my rads. Better quality, awesome noise for the CFM. Great fans, and the darling of top watercoolers. But not cheap.

^5 +1 what Conumdrum said.

Jabtech.com had been around a very long time. I used to buy the Panasonic Panaflo fans from them. Boy those panaflo's could move some air. They were definitely noisey but at the time we didn't care. We just wanted to move air.

Anyway, they've got a pretty good selection of Yate Loon fans:

here's the one you're looking for:

GEEZ! The YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan - D12SH-12 - High Speed can really move some air but's at 40db it's going to be loud. Hope you have a good set of ear plugs.

Well my PSU has a good thermal-fan controller. The D12 was used originally and it was silent during idle until the bearings started to get screwy.
