since the 4670 release, I was puzzled if 'd go buy 4850 or 2x4670 CF. Most of you already browsed the web about 4670 in CF, and results are really interesting (pow consumption, texturing, price, etc), for certain games ofcourse. If I'd go for 4850, I think I'm not planning to CF it since we know that 4850 has huge memory bandwidth and requires a good/expensive mobo like x48 or 790FX inorder to avoid FPS penalty.

Lets say I'd go for 4670 CF, x8/x8 or x16/x16 speaking, will it be enough for x8/x8 configuration with no FPS penalty(since 4670 doesnt have huge bandwidth like its bigger brother), or x16/x16 is too much for it considering its too way expensive?

my mobo of choice:

anyone here tried to CF 4670 in x8/x8 or x16/x16 configuration? you can share your experiences, thoughts, or suggestions will be appreciated ofcourse. thanks!

4850 > 3870x2
3870 > 4670
4850 > 4670 in CF
It shouldn't matter which config you use, an x8 should have enough bandwidth

It all depends if you are future proofing your computer.
If you are not, get a 4850 and a one card board.
If you are, then get the x16/x16 board. you could change the cards at any time.
