Maybe, than again it might also be because its Canada and NCIX and they like to price gouge on pretty much EVERY computer part. So hopefully it will be lower in the US and at other canadian retailers.

Yea NCIX has some absurd prices, even after direct conversion (like I did with the P2 listing) or with some slack allowed.

But even so, $280 is too high. $250 is too high. $200 is too high. The P2 940 wont sell if its over $250, the 920 defenitely wont.

If P2 competes with Q9550 in most apps and i7 in gaming like some sources are pointing at than a $250 price tag would be reasonable. However, we don't know yet. Also that is a price for a processer that is not even out yet on a website that charges too much for anything in a different country, are you seeing where I'm going with this? I'm thinking $180 for the 920 and $220 for the 940 would be about right for Ph2.

When they initially launch the prices will probably be a little higher than normal. I agree that AMD would be shooting themselves in the foot if they price these things over $250.
